Job Summary
Manage the implementation of General Construction projects working in both Residential and Commercial environments. Prepare and negotiate cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables. Report on work progress and budget matters to internal staff and clients. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists for a successful project.
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage life cycle of project from bidding to award to completion
  • Meet proposed timelines and maintain effective production schedule
  • Meet budgetary requirements for projects
  • Direct onsite Superintendents/Field Supervisors with proper scope of work
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with projects planners, client representatives, architects, engineers, construction teams, and city and/or government organizations.
  • Vender and subcontractor procurement and management.
  • Meet Quality Control standards and expectations
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Work well in team environment
  • Generate and manage project binders.
  • Ability to read construction blueprints/drawings
  • Maintain blueprints/drawings through project life cycle and make sure any changes are being properly documented
  • Create and maintain WIP log
  • Create boards and other necessary media as needed for efficient information distribution.
  • Work closely with estimating and purchasing for all available project information
  • Take the lead on estimating new jobs and/or change order work

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as Project Manager or related position
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software
  • Able to work in a diverse environment.
  • Highly motivated individual who can work independently.
  • Must be detail oriented, articulate, and able to multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of all disciplines of construction and design.
  • Basic to advanced mathematical skills.
  • Written and Oral Communication- Responds well to questions.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The minimum requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or a minimum of four years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business documents, technical procedures, or regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure directives. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
